Women in Inter-tribal Marriages in Nigeria (WIMN) is a service-oriented non-governmental organization with the focus of developing ideas towards harnessing and enhancing the cultural, socio-economic and political rights of women engaged in marriages outside their origin of birth as well as laying foundation for those to be married.

:: Our Vision & Mission:
WIMN's mandate therefore is to articulate a direction for re-orientation of the Nigerian society to see inter-tribal marriages as one of the greatest tools for achieving national unity,
development; and blessing for all nations.

:: Goals & Objectives:
The goals of WIMN is to set a standard and an accepted practice that will help to strengthen the family economically, socially and politically; thus building a strong and sustainable front for these class of people that will provide for their sound and political security.

:: Our Aims & Objectives:

  • To promote and protect the interest and rights of women in Inter-Ethnic marraige.
  • To advocate for women's political and cultural rights in the content of marraige affiliation.
  • To advocate for positive change for women in inter ethnic marriage by mobilizing funds with a view to orientating everyone on how to appreciate them.
  • To encourage every Nigerian to embrace Inter-Ethnic Marraige as a means of monumental joy and formidable unity for the country.
  • To conduct researches, seminars and confernces, concerts, and other forms of public events that would enlighten people at all level on what step or action to take in redressing injustice to women in Inter-Ethnic marriage.
  • To set up and/ or support as the need arises, family counseling and action centres that would intervene lawfully in disputes or injustice affecting men and women in Inter-Ethnic marriage.
  • To support and suscribe to any institution or organization that may be involved in projects similar to or having same objectives with the organization.
